Betty Jean Cook, 72, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Tifton Health and Rehab. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Terrell Roberts and the Rev. Rickey Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
Born December 27, 1945 in Worth County, Ms. Cook was the daughter of the late Raymond Cook and Wilmer Margret Howell Cook. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Edward Janes; and one sister, Paula Janes. She was a retired farmer on the family farm and a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had lived in Tifton for approximately six years from Lee County.
Ms. Cook is survived by one brother, Raymond Stewart Cook of Leesburg; one sister, Millie Paul of Leesburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
