Claudia V. Nolan of Winchester passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family after a long battle with cancer. She was 69. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Yolanda (Lia) Cortese. Claudia graduated from Suffolk University and earned her Master’s Degree from University of Massachusetts in Boston. She enjoyed a 25 year career at the McLean Hospital as a therapist, offering counselling in the Women’s Treatment Program. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister who enjoyed time with her family and friends.
The beloved wife of William L. Nolan, she was a devoted mother of Jacqueline Y. Nolan of Winchester. She was a dear sister of Andrea Collins of Wilmington, and Denise Cortese of Rehoboth and is also lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, November 10th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington Street, Winchester, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8.
