Igor Nadtochij, 49 of Franklin, MA, died on November 2, 2018, in a very tragic car accident that occurred in Rhode Island. He was the eldest son of Lubov Nadtochij and Nikolai Nadtochij out of 3 children. His father was a chief firefighter and a news reporter in Russia. And his mother was a sales director of a retail store in Russia.
Igor was born in Murmansk Region in Russia on April 6th, 1969. After finishing high school, he went to the Military Academy in St. Petersburg and studied there for 3 years. In 1990, Igor left St. Petersburg and enrolled at Maritime Academy attending 3 years until 1993, when the shipped sailed to America. He fell in love with the country and did everything in his power to stay here in the US. He met Olga while set up on a blind date, and fell in love, later marrying her on June 4, 1995. The following year, they had their oldest son Alexander Nadtochij (22), all of Medway and shortly after they had Michael Nadtochij (21) and Adam Nadtochij (18) all three are in college. After 9 years of marriage, they decided to amicably go on their separate ways, and got divorced in 2004.
Igor worked for Arbat, an electrical company to start off his career. He later decided to pursue his own company and work for himself. Shortly after, he enrolled in Martin Electrical School to obtain his electrical license. In 1996, he got his license to become an electrician and worked for himself until the very last day. He was extremely hard working, and worked day and night to support his family, and chase his dream. When he was not working, he enjoyed going on adventures and traveling to new countries. He loved the outdoors, and all it had to offer. In the winter he would go skiing with friends and family, as the seasons got warmer, he would venture out into the waters and enjoy the scenic view, and other times he would go fishing. In the recent years, he began to grow his own beautiful vegetable garden, in his backyard.
He leaves behind his mother, father, his two younger sisters Tanya and Natasha respectively and nephews, and niece. Also leaving behind his 3 children, the mother of his children, and his girlfriend Kim of 5 years.
His graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 8 in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway at Noon.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 - Noon in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
