Sallie Goode Carter Newcomb, age 57, of Baskerville, VA passed away November 5, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Woodrow” and Edna Carter and two brothers, Walter and Jerry Carter. She is survived by her husband, Isaac Dale Newcomb; her children, Timothy Dale Newcomb and Angela N. Dizon; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristyn, Eddie Dale, Alana and Waylon; her brothers, Robert Carter and wife Ruby, Raymond Carter and wife Faye, Roy Dale Carter and wife Carol and Tony Carter; her sisters, Cathy Wiles and Hazel Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Newcomb-Allgood Funeral Home in Chase City, VA with interment at Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Easters United Methodist Church.
