D. Christian “Chris” DeLorenzo entered through the gates of heaven on November 5, 2018 to be reunited with his beloved son David.
He will always be remembered for his love of family, especially spending time with his grandson and best pal, David McMahon, cheering him on at his basketball & baseball games, watching his granddaughter Olivia McMahon sing in her high school chorus and granddaughter, Jenna McMahon cheer at high school football games. He was active in Marblehead town sports, coaching youth hockey and baseball in the 1970’s. Chris had a witty personality that put a smile on everyone’s face and a deep sense of compassion for those less fortunate.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Diane (Dallaire) DeLorenzo, his devoted and loving daughter Deanna McMahon and her partner Ben Cleary of Marblehead, his loving son Scott of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, his brother Robert Sorenson and wife Beverly of Fountain Hill, AZ, sister-in- law and brother- in-law, Doreen & Bill Mackey of Swampscott, an uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son David, his mother, Rose (Antczak) Sorenson and brother John DeLorenzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead. Visiting hours are on Thursday Nov. 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem. Burial, at a later date, will be private.
