Boston Ma- Jose C. Matos 62 died Tuesday December 13, 2005 at Brigham and Womens Hospital. He was the husband of Isolina Carmen (Medeiros) Matos of New Bedford. He was the Father of Robert Matos husband of Ana of New Bedford and Paul Matos husband of Darbi of New Bedford. Grandfather of Roy and Amanda Matos, Brother of Artur Matos of New Bedford, Maria Anjos Medeiros of New Bedford , Maria Inez Achadinha of Medford, Ma, and Maria Augustina Lima of New Bedford. Several nieces and nephews and godchildren.
Mr. Matos was born in Agua da Pau, St. Michael, Azores Portugal. He has lived in the New Bedford area for the past 38 Yrs years. He was a son of the late Maria Jose (Moniz) and Manuel Jermias Matos. He worked as an Assembler for Schaeffer Marina. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society, Holy Name Society, and the Charasmatic Prayer Group all at Mt. Carmel Church.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday December 16, 2005 at 9 A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5-9 P.M on Thursday December 15, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Home.
