Linda B. (Brienza) Ohnesorge, 90, of New Bedford passed away Sunday November 4, 2018 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Ohnesorge.
She was born in New Bedford at home at 1272 Pleasant Street, the daughter of the late Carmine Brienza of Forenza, Potenza, Italy, and Annunziata (Muziani) Brienza of Corropoli, Teramo, Italy. She lived in New Bedford for all of her life where she was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mrs. Ohnesorge was formerly employed by the John I. Paulding Co. in the pottery department from 1944-1960 and later by Fernandes Supermarket in the bakery department from 1960-1967.
She enjoyed cake decorating, spending time with her cats and dancing.
Survivors include a nephew, Leonard C. Mello of New Bedford; and two nieces, Nancy B. Davis of Lakeville and Linda M. Sorrentino of Revere.
She was the sister of the late Antonia Brienza, Antoinette L. Sorrentino, and Domenica M. Mello, and aunt of the late Carmine D. Sorrentino. She was also the Godchild of the late Donato Brienzo and Jennie (Barbero) Riendeau.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 9th at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
