Anna M. (Veneto) Cappello of Melrose, formerly of Medford and Somerville, died on Saturday, November 3, at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. Raised and educated in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Angelo Veneto and Maria (Scagliola) Veneto.
Anna was the devoted mother of Karen Medeiros and her husband Paul of Tewksbury, Charlie Cappello and Danielle Dalton of Newbury Port, Kim Gouveia and her husband Richard of Tewksbury, and the late Virginia Cappello. She was the loving grandmother of Tiffany Cappello, Ashley, Arianna, and Anthony Medeiros, Jackson and Gavin Cappello, Olivia and Sophia Gouveia, and the loving great grandmother of Virginia. Anna was the dear sister of Angelo Veneto and his wife Cathy of Bridgewater, and was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. She is also survived by her former husband Norman Cappello and Helen Cousins of Moody, Maine, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, November 8 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours Wednesday, November 7, from 4 through 8 PM.
