Joan M. (Pendleton) Cornell of Whitman, died November 4th , after a brief illness. She was the wife of Glen Cornell
Born in Quincy, MA in 1949, she was the daughter of the late James and Marion (Lahey) Pendleton.
She was a beloved preschool teacher at Merry-Deb in Whitman and at the South Weymouth Naval Air Base.
She loved traveling with her husband and their dog, Abbey, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Glen Cornell, her daughters, Dawn Kane of Rockland and Cheri Cornell of Carver, her son-in-law, Jeffrey Kane and grandchildren, Alicia, Sarah, and Evan Kane of Rockland. She was the sister of the late James J. Pendleton of Florida.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday November 8th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the St James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday November 7th from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
