Lorraine Anne (Collins) de Bethencourt passed away peacefully at the Care Dimensions Hospice House of Lincoln. She was 82. Born in New York City and raised in Boston and Brighton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Marie (MacDonald) Collins. A Woburn resident for many years, Lorraine enjoyed a long career as an executive assistant. A devoted wife and mother she adored spending time with her grandchildren and looked forward to time with her family and friends. In recent years, she lived with her son Michael and his family where she shared in the life of her grandchildren. She will be missed by those who knew her.
The beloved wife of the late Jacque G. de Bethencourt, she was a devoted mother to Michael de Bethencourt and his wife Heather of Acton and the late Marc de Bethencourt. She was an adoring grandmother to Katherine, Liam and the late Isabella. She was the dear sister of Janet MacKay, and the late Richard and John Collins. Lorraine also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 through 11 on Tuesday morning, November 6th, at St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
