Kevin M. Lucey, age 72, passed away on Nov. 2, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 1, 1946 in Great Barrington, MA. He was the son of the late Emmett and Mary Eleanor (Kennedy) Lucey. Kevin worked as a mail handler for the Springfield Postal Service for over 20 years before he retired in 2012. Kevin was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Knights of Columbus Elder Council #69, the American Legion Post 337 and the Tigers AC where he enjoyed playing on the Pitch League. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Dolores (Cartier) Lucey of Chicopee along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 from 9-10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St Rose de Lima Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 17 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013.
