Betty Ruth Biggers, 84, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, November 2, 2018, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Pond, 162 Biggers Lane in Ocilla.
Mrs. Biggers was born February 9, 1934, in Cleburne County, Alabama, to the late E.J. & Nellie Mae Hart Laminack. She worked as a seamstress with H.R. Kaminsky & Sons as well as Shaw Industries. Mrs. Biggers enjoyed taking care of people, plants, and pets and had a special gift of caring for others.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen & Paul Herndon of Irwin County; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. David & Donna Biggers of Fitzgerald; grandchildren and their spouses: Wayne & Connie Hudson, Jane McClelland, Becky & Randall Nicholson, James Biggers & Stacy Ewing, Stacy & Clint Ruis, and Whitney & Gabe Justice; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Sherman Laminack of Fitzgerald; and a sister, Jeanette Thompson of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Biggers; a son, Michael Wade “Mike” Biggers; a grandson, Danny “Dan” Hudson; two brothers, Hoyt Laminack and Dupree Laminack; two sisters, Jean Griffin and Grace Bates; and two infant siblings.
