Donna M. Hynes of East Bridgewater, formerly of Whitman, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family in East Bridgewater on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at age 69.
She was a beloved wife of 51 years of George F. Hynes and a devoted mother to George Kevin Hynes and his wife Elizabeth of Braintree. She was a loving grandmother to Bridget and Colin Hynes. She was born in Boston in 1949 to the late Joseph and Ruth Lingoes. One of six siblings, she was the sister of Michael Lingoes and his wife Maria of FL, Ruth McGreevey and her husband John of Medford, Lisa Craig and her partner Tom Bouchard of Quincy and was predeceased by her sister Patty Lingoes, her nephew Robert (Quackie) Lingoes and her brother Robert Lingoes. Donna is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donna worked for the Hanover Visiting Nurse Association for 29 years, she also worked as an administrative assistant for multiple medical offices.
Donna had a passion for reading, traveling, crafts, cooking and doing research on many different topics. She also enjoyed helping others and donated too many charities. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, supporting her grandchildren’s various activities and accomplishments. She adored her time with them and will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 7th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 6th from 4:00-8:00PM.
