Worcester: Ronald P. Johnson, 70, passed away unexpectedly at UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Kristina (Irvine) Johnson; a daughter- Sally A Johnson of Amherst; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Lionel Arsenault of Holden, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ellen Gregus.
Ron was born in Worcester, son of the late Arthur and Sylvia (Harju) Johnson. He graduated from Burncoat St. High School class of 1966, Worcester Jr. College, and UMASS Amherst class of 1977. He worked as a commercial credit and loan workout officer at the former Mechanics Bank/Bank of Boston for 22 years. He also worked for the Central Mass Chapter of the National Safety Council as an instructor in Driver Education, as well as OSHA Compliance Courses. He was a licensed real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Ron was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden and a member of the New England Chapter of the Falcon Club of America. He was a lifelong automobile enthusiast and a member of several car clubs in the area.
