In Taunton, October 29, 2018, Walter Paul Scholz, passed away peacefully in Longmeadow of Taunton at the age of 92. He is survived by her wife Anne (Dickson) Scholz of Taunton. Walter was born in Boston, the son of the late Paul & Charlotte (Rettig) Scholz. Walter was a resident of Taunton and formerly of Lakeville. He served his country while in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Walter worked as a bricklayer for Local #7 in the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union. Walter enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, his best friend and dog “Brady” and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Walter leaves his loving children, Alan Scholz of FL, Paul Scholz of ME, Debora Scholz of FL; his step children, Robert Mendes of Middleton, MA and Kathleen Scully of Kingston and his late son Walter B. Scholz. Walter was the brother of the late Frank Scholz, and leaves his eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, November 5th from 9:30-11am. A funeral home service will be at 11am. Burial will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
