TEWKSBURY - Elaine E. (Beaudin) Ochab, age 86, an active member of Tewksbury’s Senior Community, died peacefully on Monday afternoon, October 29, at Lowell General Hospital’s Saints Campus.
She was born in Worcester, in February 1932, one of two daughters of the late Gideon and Doris (Whiting) Beaudin, and raised in Spencer. She lived in Watertown, Pocassett on Cape Cod, and Billerica, before retiring to Tewksbury’s Carnation Drive senior housing seventeen years ago.
In addition to raising a family of four, she worked as a receptionist at Williams Scotsman construction equipment supplier in Pelham, NH, until retirement.
In her retirement years, she became a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Center, where she enjoyed many friendships, was a member of the Golden Age Club, enjoyed painting and crafting classes, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Elaine enjoyed gardening, trips to Ogunquit and the other beaches of New England.
She is survived by her four children Randy Ochab and his wife Annette of Billerica, Jody Bergstrom of Newburyport, Patrice Grossi and her husband Michael of Merrimack, NH, and Paul Ochab and his wife Patty of Lowell; six grandchildren, Rachel Crovetti and her husband Eric of Epping, NH, Zachary Ochab of Nashua, NH, Dana Bifolck and her husband Eric of Kernersville, NC, Taylor Bergstrom of Billerica, Randi Ochab of So. Boston, and Adam Ochab of Billerica; four great grandchildren, Scarlet, Dante, Brandon and Lucy; several nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her sister, Marion Wighton, who died on September 29.
