Obituary

Madeline Lorraine (Clark) Griffin, 92, of Medway, died Sunday, October 28th at Genesis Health Care of Milford. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Griffin, Sr., who died in 2016.

Born in Attleboro, November 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Lettie R. (Bassett) Clark, Mrs. Griffin was raised in Attleboro and had lived in Framingham and Ashland prior to moving to Medway in 1960.

She had been a machine operator for Dennison Manufacturing Company for many years before retiring.

She had previously worked as a crossing guard in Medway, as a cafeteria aid in the Medway Public Schools and in Bond’s Drug Store in Framingham.

She enjoyed bowling with her husband and cooking for her family and all family get togethers.

She is survived by her children, Thomas F. Griffin. and his wife Gladys, of Bellingham Gerald C. Griffin and his wife Karen, of Holliston, John J. Griffin and his companion, Susan Censale of West Yarmouth and Lawrence R. Griffin and his husband, Richard, of Woonsocket, RI and her daughter, Karen E. Smith and her husband, Sam of Woonsocket, RI.

She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Sammy Smith.

Her funeral service will be Thursday. November 1 at Noon in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00-Noon.

Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis.
