Age 95, formerly of Framingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Countryside Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late John K. Gantz. Gladys was born in Philadelphia, PA with three siblings: William Meadowcroft of Oreland, PA; Joseph Meadowcroft of Audubon, NJ; and Dorothy Ballam of Bryn Mawr, PA, all deceased. Gladys and John were married in Philadelphia and moved to Audubon, NJ in 1948, to Melrose, MA in 1960, and after John retired from Polaroid Corporation, to Belmont, NH, where John died in 1992.
Gladys moved to Framingham, MA in 1998 to be near her son, John K. Gantz Jr. and his wife Deborah of Wayland, MA, and her daughter, Janet Newman of Natick, MA.
Gladys was the loving grandmother of Laura Derderian and her husband Arra of Milton, MA, Robert Woolfson and his wife Rachel of Marlborough, MA, and Scott Gantz of Waltham, MA. She was the loving great grandmother of Connor and Kayla Woolfson, and Lily and Emily Derderian. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gladys’ memory can be made to Countryside Nursing Home in Framingham, MA.
