Obituary

Anthony M. Bucci passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning. He was 88. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Domenico and Anna Maria (Funaro) Bucci. A life-long Medford resident, Tony served in the Navy during the Korean War. After his service he returned to work in his family business, DA Bucci and Sons Cutlery Service. The second generation to run the three generation thriving business, Tony worked hard to develop a broad client base and provide fine service and consultation to countless loyal customers. Possessed of a subtle, sweet kindness, Tony was a hardworking man who provided well for his family and enjoyed being with the generations of his family and many friends.

The beloved husband of Julia “Chickie” (Cecchini) Bucci, they shared 65 years of marriage. Anthony leaves his children: Steven Bucci and his wife Ellen of Derry, NH, Linda Foti and her husband Paul of Andover, Peter Bucci and his wife Kathy Srybny-Bucci of Haverhill. Tony was a loving grandfather to Steven, Janessa, Jaclyn, Sean, Peter, Julianna and Edward. He was a loving great-grandfather to Thomas, Nolan, Vivian, Anthony and Daniel. He was a dear brother to Rose Antonuccio, the late Mario and Vincent Bucci, Lucy March and Phyllis Scimemi. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather for visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday November 2nd from 4 -8 PM and again on Saturday morning, November 3rd at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Anthony’s name to the charity of One’s choice.
