Martha DeBrada Moore, age 71, entered into rest on October 25, 2018 while she was surrounded by her loving family.
DeBrada was born in Augusta to the late Henry Luther Blalock and Martha Annette Johnson Blalock. She was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church on Crawford Avenue. As a young teenager, she began playing the organ and piano at Central Christian. Throughout the years, she was also active in the choir and the CWF Group#5. DeBrada retired as an administrative assistant from T. Harry Garrett Elementary School after about 30 years of service.
A true Christian woman, DeBrada will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and laughter. She was full of life and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wendell Earl Moore of Augusta; three children, Scott Moore (Dory) of Alto, Brian Moore of Gainesville, and Wendy Moore of Athens; two grandchildren, Nathan Moore and Madilyn Moore; and sister, Ella GeJuan Blalock of Augusta.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 29, 2018 at her beloved church, Central Christian Church. Her son, Dr. Scott W. Moore and her pastor, Reverend Steve Croft will officiate. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
