Roy P. “Trippy” Jaswell, III, 59, of Sprague Street, Greenville, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. He was the husband of Susan Schumacher.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Roy P. Jaswell, Jr. and the late Gail (McMahon) Jaswell. He was a lifelong resident of Smithfield.
Trippy had worked in the family business, Roy Jaswell and Son in Smithfield. He was an avid golfer and New England Patriots Fan.
Besides his wife, Susan, he is survived by his sons Kyle Schumacher of Bronx, NY, Roy P. Jaswell, IV of Johnston and Daniel Schumacher of Charleston, SC, his siblings: Louis M. Jaswell of North Providence, Lisa Gazin of Kennett Square, PA, Jennifer Jaswell of Jamestown and John E. Jaswell of New York and his two grandsons. He was the brother of the late Michael Jaswell and Michael Miller.
His funeral service will be held Monday at 9 am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial private. Visitation Sunday 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
