FALL RIVER…Antonio N. “Bo” Raposa, 86, of Fall River passed away October 22, 2018 at Catholic Memorial Home.
He was the beloved husband of Joyce R. (Hanna) Raposa to whom he had been married for 61 years.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Gaskell) Rapoza and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Raposa was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and was Master Mason at Mt. Hope Lodge AFAM. He was a 1951 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and went on to obtain certificates from Fisher Junior College and Durfee Tech. He had worked for 30 years as a Foreman for Slater Paper Box and more recently as a Driver for Rite Aid. Bo was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, survivors include his daughter: Tracy Ford and her husband Paul of Swansea; his grandson: Nicholas Ford of Swansea; his sister-in-law: Shirley Caron and her husband Paul of Tiverton; his niece: Lindsey Bshara-Leviss of Westport; many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Catholic Memorial Home, specifically the Short Term Care Unit for their compassion and care.
A memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 12:30 PM at Calvary United Presbyterian Church 216 Harrison St. Fall River, MA 02723.
