Paul A. Lavoie, 73, of Auburn, NH, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Parkland Medical Center, Derry after a brief illness. He was born in Nashua, NH on March 12, 1945, a son of the late Arthur and Jeanne (Simard) Lavoie. Paul was a skilled photographer with an expertise in aviation, railroad and wildlife photography. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his former wife and close friend, Irene Proulx; three children, Patrick Pope and his wife Katie, Samantha (Pope) Mathews and her husband Chris, and Brianna (Lavoie) Johnson and her husband Joe; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as a niece and nephew. Paul is predeceased by his sister, Jeannine Cotter.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Monday October 29, 2018 from 10:00-11:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A memorial service followed at 11:30am in the funeral home. Private interment will be at a later time in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
