Obituary

CHICOPEE ~ Beatrice L. “Bea” (Provost) Dean, 95, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Chicopee on September 18, 1923, a beloved daughter of the late Philias and Flavia (Bengle) Provost and had lived in Chicopee her entire life. She was employed for 27 years at the Advertising Corporation of America in Holyoke where she worked as a machine operator and later as a supervisor, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Chicopee. Bea enjoyed playing bingo but most especially loved spending time with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William A. Dean who was Called Home on February 19, 1991. She leaves her four devoted children, Carol Thomas of Chicopee, Sandra E. Warren and her husband, Robert, of Feeding Hills, Susan R. Glinka and her husband, Kris, of Brooksville, FL and William A. Dean, Jr. of Chicopee; her six loving grandchildren, Nicole Walker and her husband, Keith, R. Joshua Thomas, Michelle Walker and her husband, Bryan, Jodie Davis and her husband, Jay, Kristie Lopez and her husband, Johnny, and Patrick Glinka; her ten cherished great-grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Jenna and Nathan Walker, Alyssa Burkholder and her husband, Kris, Jacob and Jordan Davis, Kyla and Kamdyn Lopez and Margot Glinka; and her two cherished great-great-grandchildren, Madilyn Walker and Carter Campbell. Bea’s family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Julianna and the staff of Victory Home Health Care and Lucy and the staff at Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice for their compassionate care of Bea. Her family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12 Noon at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The funeral home parking lot and main entrance are located at the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the service at Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot Street, Holyoke, MA 01040. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to First Congregational Church, 306 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, MA 01013 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield Unit, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
