REHOBOTH – Alexandria (Faria) Viveiros, of Rehoboth, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Herman J. Viveiros Jr. Born in Swansea, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Guilhermina (Costa) Faria. Alexandria left school after 5th grade to help with the family chicken business. Afterwards, at the age of 16, she started working at Firestone Rubber in Fall River, after moving to Rehoboth. Prior to retirement she worked as an assembler for Texas Instrument for over 23 years. As a retiree she became known as the “woodcraft lady” at many local church bazaars and senior events.
She is survived by her son Herman J. Viveiros III of Rehoboth. She was the sister of the late Joseph B., Manuel B., & John B. Faria, Mary F. Mello, Mary Connie Pacheco, Silvina Terceira & Margaret Furtado.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Seekonk at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday from 4-7 P.M.
