FALL RIVER - Westell Dootson, age 90 of Fall River, passed away of a broken heart on Monday, October 22, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet (Bettencourt) Dootson, and the son of the late Clarence W. & Lilly (Andrew) Dootson. Westell enjoyed fishing, loved his sweets, and was the best husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle anyone could ever ask for.
He is survived by his daughter: Gail Stroker (husband Jeffrey); daughter-in-law: Susan Dootson; grandchildren: Neil Dootson, Stephanie Costa (husband Paul), and Gabriel Zabatta; great grandchildren: Hayleigh Dootson, Serina Costa, and Zoey Dootson; sister: Cecilia D. Stuart; several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Donald Dootson and brother of the late Kenneth and Clarence Dootson.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
