Carol A. (Pierce) Harper 83, of Whitman, passed away peacefully after a short illness, with family by her side, on October 22nd. She was born in Forest Hills, MA in 1935, to Walter C. Pierce & Evelyn Pierce Lawson.
She Graduated from Weymouth High School in 1953. Carol loved growing up on Wessagusset Beach.
Carol enjoyed yard sales, spending time with all her grandchildren, and helping anyone in need.
She was the wife of the late Paul C. Harper, of almost 50 years. She leaves behind a daughter Cheryl Harper Folsom of Whitman, and son Stephen Harper and his wife, Heather, of North Truro. She was predeceased by her sister Sharon Farrell, her sons Paul D. Harper and Gary Harper. She is survived by her youngest sister Sandra Cushman Weatherby, of Florida and daughter-in-law Veronica Harper. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kimberly Hardy, Lori Gardner, Julie Harper, Rachel Harper, Kelcey Harper, Kristin Harper, and Mark Folsom; great-grandchildren Cameron, Malcom, Gavin, and Grace; also nephews, Peter Waldron, Donald Ripley; nieces, Cathy Holbrook, Stephanie Souza and many great nephews, nieces & cousins. She also leaves behind her dear friend of 70 years, Marie Doherty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, October 26th, at 9:45AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 in the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. Interment will be at Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Thursday October 25th from 4:00-8:00PM, in the Chapel.
