Sarah Napolitano, 95

Sarah “Sally” (Healy) Napolitano, age 95, of Mansfield, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Garden Place Healthcare in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin F. Napolitano.
Born in Boston, MA on January 16, 1923, she was a loving daughter of the late John and Mary (Foley) Healy.
Sally grew up in the South End of Boston and was educated in Boston Public Schools. She had made her home in Mansfield for over twenty-five years, and prior to retiring had worked in the laundry department at the former Mattapan Hospital on River Street for twenty years.
A devout Catholic, Sally’s family was the essence of her life. At the time of her death she was anticipating the birth of another great grandchild and her first great-great grandchild. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, walking and a special love for animals.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Gail W. Saquet and her husband Richard of Attleboro, Theresa S. Napolitano and her husband Douglas Smith of Mansfield and Dennis Doherty. She was the cherished grandmother of Richard, Heather, Toni, Nicole, Thomas, Michael, William and the late Vincent, and is also survived by 11 treasured great grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, October 26th at 9:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield, Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 25th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
