Edward M. Reynolds, age 77, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet L. (Libby) “Pinky” Reynolds who died on January 8, 2015.
Born in Lakeville, MA on July 3, 1941, he was a loving son of the late Leon and Louella (Blanchard) Reynolds.
Ed grew up and was educated in Freetown. He had made his home in Taunton for the past forty years, and prior to retiring had worked for the Taunton Stove Company for over twenty years.
Mr. Reynolds who was affectionately known as “gramps” or “boss” loved taking care of his yard, engaging in projects around the house, his John Deere tractor and his F-150 which was his pride and joy. He also enjoyed hunting, painting, but most of all his grandchildren who were the treasured part of his life.
He was the devoted father of Donna Medeiros of Taunton, and the late John Leonard, Arthur Leonard and Donald Leonard. He was the brother of Wayne Reynolds and David Reynolds. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, including Eddie Leonard, as well as 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.), Taunton. Burial will be held privately at Nemasket Hill Cemetery in Middleboro.
