Linda M. (Cerolia) Donovan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at her home in Charlestown. She was 65 years of age.
Linda was born in Boston on January 18, 1953, a daughter of the late Mary Lou (Fessenden) Cerolia and Leo T. Cerolia. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Linda worked as a waitress for many years at both the Hideaway and Pete's Pub in Boston. She enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods and Saratoga and especially enjoyed spending her summers with her companion Bill and friends at Old Orchid Beach in Maine. Linda was also a member of the Somerville City Club.
Linda is the beloved mother of the late Jimmy Donovan. She is the devoted sister of Jeanette Noonan and her late husband retired Boston Firefighter Red Noonan and the late Leo Cerolia. She is the loving aunt of Daniel Noonan, Jackie Brennan, Robin Peterson, Mary-Kate Peterson, Richie Brennan and the late Sean Noonan. She is the longtime companion of Bill Keegan and dear friend of Donna Prince.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Linda's Funeral on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial is private. Her visiting hours will be on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
