Pellegrino "Billy" P. Bondanza, of Boston, formerly of Boston's North End, passed away, on Sunday, October 14th. He was 81. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura (Accomando) Bondanza.
Billy was a laborer with the Local 22. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family. He also enjoyed working many years on Haymarket, selling fruits and vegetables. Billy loved to cook he was known for his baked artichokes, sauce and stuffed peppers. He absolutely adored and loved spending time with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy.
Pellegrino was the devoted father of Jody Connor and her husband Brian of Medford, Anthony LaBella of Lynn, and Joseph Bondanza of Revere. He was the loving Papa of Bryan, Jordana, Alana, Nicolas and Sofia. The dear brother of Phyllis Polci and the late Gerry Bondanza. He is also survived by his former wife, Palmy Rago.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, October 20th, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Burial will be private.
