Clare P. (O'Toole) Boyd, 100, of Westport, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late John C. Boyd.
Mrs. Boyd was born in New Bedford, MA daughter of the late John L. and Harriet A. (Hanlon) O'Toole and had resided in Westport since 1976. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Survivors include her 3 daughters: Susan Janus of RI, Maureen McCullough of VA and Marilyn Thomson of MT; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late John C. Boyd, Jr, grandmother of the late Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Thomson and John C. "Jack" Boyd, III and sister of the late Lawrence O'Toole, Eileen Irwin, Mary Widell and Josephine Smith.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Rd., Westport, MA
Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport, immediately following the Mass.
