FALL RIVER – João Manuel Craveiro, 76 of Fall River, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at the Somerset Ridge Center. Born in Ribeirá Chá, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late João B. & Maria Rosario (Amaro) Craveiro. Prior to retiring, João worked as a machine operator for the former Plymouth Rubber Co.
He is survived by his son: Steven J. Craveiro (wife Lisa) of Swansea, Kerry Craveiro of Woonsocket, RI, & Linda Vuittonnet (husband Chris) of Warsaw, IN; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Joao was predeceased by the love of his life: Phyllis Araujo, and his siblings: Americo Craveiro, Maria Cecilia Almeida, & Maria Juventina Craveiro Loureiro
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, Oct. 18th at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. There Are No Separate Calling hours.
