Obituary

MOHNEY, B. Clifford (Bud) Of Wayland passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 11, 2018 at Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln. Cause of death was stroke. He was 94 years young.

Beloved and cherished husband of Sharon (Sheldon) Mohney for 46 years. Devoted father of Mary Traver and her husband Gene of Greenfield and Susan Mohney-Eagle of Queens, NY. He was predeceased by his son Calvin John Mohney. Loving grand-daddio to Kimberley Pouliot, Bethany McMahon, and Noah Traver. Great grand-daddy of Scarlett and Zavier Pouliot, and Ruby McMahon.

Bud was born on August 20, 1924 to his loving mother and provider Elzora Mohney of Rimersburg, PA. He served our country during WW II in the Navy, stationed in American Samoa. He then graduated from Rochester University and went to work for Haloid Company, the predecessor to Xerox, where he spent his entire corporate career. Upon retiring at 55 he consulted for many companies and found his real passion, running charity golf outings which brought him in contact with professional golfers including Arnold Palmer. In his spare time he enjoyed skiing and golf as a member of Weston Golf Club. Bud brought a smile to bartenders, grocery clerks, the mailman, pharmacy workers, and all that knew him. He has left an afterglow of smiles to all that knew him.

Funeral service in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Rd., Weston, Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 12:00pm. A reception will follow at the Weston Golf Club immediately after the service. Relatives and friends kindly invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bud’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
