FALL RIVER – Maria C. (Jacob) Benfeito, age 86 of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Remédios da Bretañha, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose & Conceicão (Pacheco) Jacob and the beloved husband of Manuel M. Benfeito. Maria was a homemaker and loved to tend to her gardens. She was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Sandy Pereira (husband Luis); her son: Manny J. Benfeito; her beloved grandson, whom she adored: Kyle Pereira all of Fall River; siblings: Eduarda Cabral of Brampton, Canada & Joaquin Jacob of São Miguel, Açores; nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Jose, João, & Antone Jacob.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, Oct. 13th with a visitation from 7:45-9:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:45 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. www.rogersfuneral.com.
