Shaun M. MacDonald, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 after a courageous battle with leukemia at Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in Brighton. He was 49 years of age.
Shaun was born in Boston on May 25, 1969, a son of Judy (MacDonald) Kelly. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Shaun worked for 7 years for Massport Authority as a parking attendant and was a member of Teamsters Union Local # 25. He was an avid Boston sports fan and especially enjoyed watching all the Patriots games. He also enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Shaun is the adored and loving son of Judy (MacDonald) Kelly. He is the devoted brother of Patrick Kelly. He is the beloved Grandson of the late George L. MacDonald and Katherine B. (Pender) MacDonald. He is the loving Godson of Stephen MacDonald and Janet Donahue. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shaun's Funeral Service on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. His visiting hours will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
