Obituary

Julien D. Beaulieu, 73, of New Bedford died October 7, 2018 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of Jo Anne M. (Flynn) Beaulieu.
Born in Acushnet, son of the late Romeo and Jeannette (Belanger) Beaulieu, he lived in East Freetown for 50 years before moving to New Bedford in 2017.
Mr. Beaulieu was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and a former communicant of St. John Neumann Church.
He was formerly employed as a salesman with J. Polep Distributor for many years until his retirement. In his retirement, he liked to golf with his brothers and spend time with his grandchildren in addition to working at Interstate Battery.
Mr. Beaulieu served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, Gregory Beaulieu and his wife Kathleen of Trophy Club, TX, Andrew Beaulieu and Christian Beaulieu and his wife Vicki, all of New Bedford and Dana Beaulieu and his wife Evelyn of Woodstock, GA; 2 brothers, Clement Beaulieu of Fairhaven and Jerome Beaulieu of Rochester; 2 sisters, Cozette Poirier of New Bedford and Joann Pothier of Longs, SC; 10 grandchildren, Rae Marie, Maxwell, Carter, Ryleigh, Quinn, Hayley, Camden, Keaton, Cassidy and Calista; and many nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13th at 10 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 12th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
