Fall RIVER – Antonio J. Medeiros, 89, of Drift Road, Westport died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of Mary L. (Costa) Medeiros.
Born in Fall River a son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mello) Medeiros he had lived in Westport for sixty years. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. He had been self-employed as a dairy farmer and carpenter.
Mr. Medeiros was a member of the P.A.C.L., Holy Ghost Club and Our Lady of Grace Senior Club all of Westport. He also belonged to the Westport Senior Citizens and the Royal Traveler’s of Fall River.
In addition to his wife of sixty-four years he is survived by 1 son: Antonio “Tee” J. Medeiros, Jr.; 2 daughters: Nancy Eatmon of Garner, North Carolina and Evelyn Tuck of Bishopville, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Louise Medeiros and brother of the late Manuel and Joseph Medeiros, Rose Mello and Mary Dion.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Wednesday at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10 A.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
