Zelina T. Couto, age 88, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday October 3, 2018. Born in Rabo de Peixe, Azores she was the daughter of the late Jose deCouto and Biatriz Vieira, and wife of the late Agostinho Pereira. Zelina enjoyed making sweet bread, needlework, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Agostinho Pereira (wife Lucia), Carlos Pereira (wife Filomena), Belmiro Pereira (wife Oriana), Maria Amaral (husband Alfredo), Fernanda Ferreira (husband Roberto), son in law Manuel Correia, brother; Manuel Vieira, 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Lucia Correia, and sister of the late Jose deCouto.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Santo Christo Church at 9 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 5-8 P.M.
