Samuel G. Remley, age 96, of Norton, formerly of North Providence, Rhode Island and Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Wingate at Norton. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne (Minehan) Remley.
Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on May 10, 1922, he was a loving son of the late Adam and Elsie (Plantz) Remley.
Samuel grew up and was educated in Wisconsin. He received his bachelor’s degree from Laurence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII.
Mr. Remley’s working career was spent in the transportation industry. He retired as a transportation management employee at Bank of Boston in Massachusetts, where he had worked for over ten years. He had made his home in Norton for the past six years and previously resided in North Providence, Rhode Island.
He was the devoted father of Cynthia R. Benton and her husband Charles of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota and the late Christopher A. Remley. He was the dear brother of the late Arthur Remley and is also survived by his cherished 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 10th at the Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, Wisconsin.
