Obituary


TIVERTON, RI — Lisa Cabral, aged 66, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home in Tiverton. Lisa was the beloved wife of John Edward Cabral for 38 years. Lisa was born in Kentucky, the daughter of Priscilla Whitney Lawton and the late James Burrows Lawton.

A graduate of Dartmouth High School, Lisa was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed cooking and was a talented, artistic soul, often gifting her family and friends with her creations.

Lisa is survived by her husband John and daughters Tanya (Bruce) Earle of Westport and Christine (Peter) Carr of Tiverton. Lisa was the beloved “Gigi” to granddaughter Ruby Earle. Lisa also leaves sisters Jami Chace and Nina Borges, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews. Lisa was preceded in death by her father James, her brothers Whitney Lawton, Bradford Lawton, Edward Lawton, Peter Lawton, and Jeremy Lawton.

Her family paid this tribute to her: “Lisa was one of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet with the most amazing sense of humor and raucous, infectious laugh. She opened her heart and her home to many over the years and she will be sorely missed.”

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1956 Main Road, Tiverton. Burial will be private. For tributes please visit wilsonchapel.net
