Spc. Steven Joshua Todd, age 31, entered into rest on Sunday.
Josh was born in Macon and was a 2006 honors graduate from Jones County High School. Josh was extremely intelligent and he had a great desire to learn. He received his Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia. He then joined the United States Army where he became a cryptologic linguist. While proudly serving our country, Josh earned double Master’s degrees and became fluent in 6 languages in addition to numerous Arabic dialects, and he was recipient of the Joint Services Achievement Medal. Josh was an amazing dad and was extremely devoted to his beautiful children.
Josh is survived by his wife, Zuri Todd of Grovetown; daughters, Cadence Jade Todd of Macon and Naomi Zaina Smith of Grovetown; parents, Steve and Tina Todd of Macon; sister, Kirstie Todd of Macon; nephew, Emerson Gasaway of Macon; mother in law, Shandra Spencer of Athens; and father in law, Glenn Smith of Athens.
A celebration of Josh’s life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Friendship Chapel (633 Barnes Avenue) on Ft. Gordon. Full Military Honors will be rendered. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Friendship Chapel.
