Patricia A. (Neves) Parkin, 60, of East Freetown passed away suddenly on Thursday September 28, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Rachel A. (Gregoire) and Joseph T. Neves, Jr., she lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford before moving to East Freetown.
Pat was formerly employed as a driver and dispatcher for Whaling City Transit. She was currently working as a caretaker for LifeStream, Inc.
She enjoyed cooking, crafting, camping, and spending any time with her family. Her grandchildren brought the greatest joy in her life, and she was excited that she was having another new grandchild soon.
Pat was always happy and positive, was always ready to help others, and she was a friend to everyone that she met. A very adventurous person, she lived her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her life partner, Gary Morris of East Freetown; her children, Erin E. Borges and her husband Adam of Fairhaven, Vickie L. Parkin of New Bedford, and Timothy J. Parkin of East Freetown; her son-in-law, Paul Ebien-Pesa of New Bedford; her stepchildren, Shannon Horsman and her husband Chad of East Taunton and Kristin Fucci and her husband Todd of Norton; her siblings, Donald J. Neves and his wife Mary of Dartmouth; Linda M. Chase and her husband David, Stephen J. Neves and his wife Mary, and Joseph A. Neves and his wife Kathleen, all of New Bedford, Robert J. Neves and his wife Lisa of Berkley, and Kenneth J. Neves and his wife Gloria of Wareham; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Austin, Athena, Ava, Coraline, Paisley, Nolan, Avery, and Ella; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday October 8, 2018 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM.
