Joseph Victor Glowka, 62, of Franklin, died suddenly October 1 at his home.
Born in Framingham March 12, 1956 the son of Lillian A. (Trinque) Glowka of Bellingham and the late Victor J. Glowka, Mr. Glowka was raised and lived in Bellingham, Boston, then San Francisco prior to moving to Franklin 18 years ago.
He was a graduate of Bellingham High School and a graduate of Mt. Wachusett Community College.
Joseph had been the store manager of Helen’s Leather Shop in Boston for many years.
He enjoyed photography, reading, listening to music and attending concerts, interior decorating, riding his motorcycle, the Boston Red Sox and family gatherings.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen M. Lindsey and her husband Charles of Franklin, David M. Glowka and his wife Donna of Bellingham and Cynthia A. Weir and her husband David of Franklin.
He is also survived by his life partner Laurie Jones of Franklin.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, David M. Glowka, Jr., Christopher C. and Katherine M. Lindsey and Alicia and Erica Weir.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 5 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Brendan’s Church, 382 Hartford Ave, Bellingham at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
