In Taunton, Christopher P. Deforitis, September 30, 2018, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness at the age of 46. Christopher leaves his wife Paula (Mirisola) Deforitis of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of Paul Deforitis and his wife Sherry of Tiverton. RI and his late mom Susan (Trembley) Swisher. Christopher attended Taunton schools and graduated from Bristol Plymouth High School and later continuing his education at Western New England earning his master’s degree. He was employed as a police officer for the City of Taunton for eighteen years. Chris enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, vacationing at Papoose Pond Campground in Maine and above all cherished his time with family and friends. In addition to his wife Paula, Chris leaves his beloved children, Kourtney Deforitis of Taunton, Brandon Deforitis of East Taunton, Ian & Sydney Arikian of Taunton. He also leaves his loving sister Karolyn Parsons and her husband Garrett of Salem. Christopher was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews and many friends who will miss him dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Friday, October 5th at 11am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Thursday at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 from 4-8pm. Burial will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton. Donations in Christopher’s memory may be made to Cops for Kids with Cancer, Inc., P.O.
