BUSH, BRENDA N., 60 of Conway, South Carolina, passed peacefully at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA on October 1, 2018.
Brenda battled metastatic breast cancer for the last two years after a lengthy remission from her first diagnosis of breast cancer in 2008. Her positive spirit was one of her most unique character traits and she fought with that same spirit for the duration of her illness.
Brenda is survived by her two children Krysta Thomas and Justin Bush and their spouses, Brian Thomas and Courtney Bush, her four grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cory, and Riley Thomas, and Hudson Bush, and her fiancée Jeffrey Petersen. Brenda worked retail and always enjoyed the relationships she made with her coworkers. Her children and grandchildren along with her best friend and partner Jeff were her entire world. She is remembered by those who loved her as always having a beautiful smile for all, her infectious laughter, and her love of all things peace, love, and happiness. A hippie at heart and a fierce matriarch, Brenda will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A private family service will be held at the McCarthy Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor in November of 2018. Details will be announced by the family at a later date.
October is Breast cancer awareness month. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in honor of Brenda to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
