Obituary

Frances A. Letourneau, 98 of Prosser, entered into rest on September 22, 2018 at Prosser Memorial Hospital. She was born to Frank A. and Letha (Rice) Wilson on October 5, 1919 in LeRoy Kansas. In 1927 the family moved to White Fish, Montana and lived with other family members and worked on their farm for a year. In 1929, the family moved to Grandview and in 1938, made their home on a farm between Granger and Sunnyside. Frances graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1938 and then worked at a fruit warehouse.

Frances married her first husband, Ernest Cubbins and they spent over twenty five years together. The couple enjoyed hunting and fishing together. On October 31, 1970, she married Ed Letourneau and they made their home in Prosser. Frances worked at the Prosser Experiment Station until retiring. After Ed died she continued to live in the home they built and enjoyed working in her beautiful yard and garden. When she was unable to care for the home and garden, she moved to Kennewick and lived in an apartment overlooking the Columbia River. She enjoyed the beautiful view of the river and watching the boats go by. In 2010, she returned to Prosser to be near her sister Margaret and made her home at Sun Terrace.

Frances is survived by her sister, Margaret McCall of Prosser; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Lightburn and Helen Crawford.

At her request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
