Carrie Mae Yount Reynolds, age 72, died September 30, 2018 at the Grenada Living Center in Grenada, MS. She was born January 2, 1946 in Derma, MS to the late Charles Franklin and Mary Lou Smallwood Yount. Carrie was a member of First Christian Church of Water Valley, MS and enjoyed cooking and spending the holidays with family and friends. She dearly loved being with her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow visitation in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Freddie Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Teasdale, MS, right outside of Charleston.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Veronica Lindsey of Water Valley, MS; her sons, James R. Hale, Jr. (Brenda) of Water Valley, MS and William Hale (Angela) of Grenada, MS; her brother, Bob Yount (Linda) of Grenada, MS; nine children; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Claxton Reynolds; her sons, Roger Hale and Everett J. Reynolds; her sisters, Mary White, Dorothy Harjo, and Ann Smallwood.
