Colin R. Leggett, of Medford, died Sunday, September 30th. He was 79. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Harold G. and Margaret (Kelleher) Leggett.
Colin absolutely adored and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to relax in a comfortable chair while playing a game of soduko or catching up on the latest sports game on TV. After retiring from the Middlesex Sheriff's Department, Colin enjoyed sipping on a cup a coffee with his buddies at the nearest Dunkin Donuts.
Colin was the beloved husband of Janet (Hazelton) Leggett and the late Nancy (Doherty) Leggett. He was the devoted father of Linda Smith and her husband William of Andover, Pamela Leggett and her companion Edward Sullivan of Methuen and Julie Donoghue and her husband Francis of Haverhill, and the late Robert Leggett. Step father of James Cameron and his wife Teresa of Medford, David Cameron and his wife Waldina of Woburn and Arthur Cameron and his wife Courtney of Romana, CA. Loving grandfather of Ryan Leggett and his companion Carol Watson, Samantha and Jacob Donoghue, Holly and Michael Smith, Kailey Moreschi, Matthew, Skylar, Harper, Finnleigh and Giovanna Cameron. Loving great-grandfather of Caitlyn Leggett and Marc Berard. Dear brother of Cheryl Saj and the late Claudia Anazalone. Also survived by many loving family members and friends.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, October 4th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4- 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Late Navy Veteran.
