Iris Hines, 91, formerly of Scenery Lane, Johnston, died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Cortland Place in Greenville after a short illness. She was the widow of Thomas A. Hines, her beloved husband of 32 years.
Born in Providence, she was one of three daughters of the late Americo and Ackla (D’Orsi) Pennacchia. She had lived in Smithfield before moving to Johnston in 1986. She most recently lived in Greenville.
She is survived by her son Thomas R. Hines and his wife, Melany Cabell of Greenville, her treasured granddaughter, Tia Hines and a sister, Leona Zachos of Florida. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Capobianco. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 10am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial will be in RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation respectfully omitted.
